one of the most emotionally charged and enduring examples of great oration – used to the ends of community togetherness, action for justice, and rooted in peace. would anyone dare make this speech today, when it is more politically popular to incite hatred of the “other”, whomever it might be, and dividing America against itself, and the world outside?

If you’ve heard me complain about stinky swathes of concrete, here’s an answer. Now, how about letting us renters and tenants landscape all those wasted backyards/concrete patios!

Spoke with a lovely gentleman at the Golden Gate Parks Conservancy today. What a neat history! Check out the former Fort Mason and if you go at sunset, you might catch a pretty sunset highlighting Alcatraz Island on your walk from the fort down to the pier. They also have a cool community garden that looks well-developed – smelled like blooming roses this evening.
