Just listened to a KQED Forum show on employment and skills in high-tech industries here in the Bay Area – you can listen and check it out here. The discussion was thought provoking, if a bit too short. I was interested to hear that others have pinpointed a loss of mid-level positions (a fact I’ve anecdotally thought not quantitatively affirmed in my current job search; if I wanted an unpaid internship or had fifteen years’ experience as an executive I’d be in luck though).
