Since I got a sewing machine for Christmas, I’ve been dreaming up things to sew as soon as I have a job and can afford lots and lots of fabric. One reason is because nothing off the rack ever fits my waist, which doesn’t look good to start, and is frustrating as well. I’m particularly excited about indulging my love of mod fabrics and making a million shift dresses to wear to (work?) with black tights and flats or riding boots. I was browsing the marimekko website for some inspiration and came across these lovely designs. New fabrics (absolutely wonderful):
Stripes (a favorite), folded-origami-like dress constructions I can never achieve (also a favorite)
and bold, colourful floral mod prints (a absolute fave!).
