Spoke with a lovely gentleman at the Golden Gate Parks Conservancy today. What a neat history! Check out the former Fort Mason and if you go at sunset, you might catch a pretty sunset highlighting Alcatraz Island on your walk from the fort down to the pier. They also have a cool community garden that looks well-developed – smelled like blooming roses this evening.
